Heart of Florida Health Center is now Marion County’s solution to providing healthcare for ALL. Serving our local community in an operational capacity since 1991, Heart of Florida Health Center has established itself as a prominent staple in community healthcare.
Heart of Florida Health Center, formerly known as Community Health Services, became a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in March 2009 with the addition of dental and behavioral health services. For over 18 years, Munroe Regional Medical Center (MRMC) and Ocala Regional Medical Center (ORMC) generously provided the financial support that made healthcare available through the CHS clinic. In 2007, the Marion County Commission and the Marion Health Department also began providing assistance in order to expand the range of services offered. Thanks to everyone's help, Heart of Florida is currently providing care to nearly 17,000 patients a year. We hope you enjoy our new Web site! Your ideas and feedback on improving the site and making it more informative are always welcome. Join Heart of Florida Health Center as a patient, a supporter or both! With your help, we can continue to grow and be the pride of community healthcare in Marion County.
